Taste: Elegant and structured, with a soft and enveloping entry; notes of dried and ripe fruit, vanilla, caramel, plum, sweet spices, and a woody background reminiscent of oak and Maya Ceiba emerge. Warm, persistent, and harmonious finish, with a trail of smoke and licorice

Terroir: The Cihuatán distillery is located in a valley named after an ancient Mayan archaeological site. The raw materials are entirely sourced from El Salvador, and aging takes place in ex-Bourbon American oak barrels, with an exclusive finish in Maya Ceiba wood barrels—a sacred tree in Maya culture—which gives the rum particular aromatic notes and a distinctive touch.

Description:
Cihuatán Xaman XO is the flagship rum of the Salvadoran distillery Licorera Cihuatán. It is the first XO officially exported from the country and expresses a unique character thanks to its long aging and refinement in Maya Ceiba. On the nose, it offers aromas of grilled pineapple, leather, and balsamic notes; on the palate, it is soft, round, and enveloping, with a perfect balance between ripe fruit, vanilla, caramel, and wood. The finish is warm and persistent. A rum that combines tradition, Maya culture, and modern refinement.
