Origin: Cuba — produced in the distilleries of Santa Cruz del Norte and San José de las Lajas, distributed by Havana Club International S.A., a joint venture between Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.
Raw materials: Sugarcane molasses
Color: golden amber, the result of a blend of young and aged rums.
Nose: intense and enveloping, with notes of sugarcane, vanilla, cinnamon, honey, tobacco, and light fruity accents.
Taste: smooth and balanced, with an initial sweetness that evolves into aromas of caramel, toffee, and ripe fruit, accompanied by light spices and a finish that recalls coffee and toasted molasses.
Alcohol content: 40% ABV.
Serving temperature: ideal between 18 °C and 22 °C.
Pairings: excellent neat, on the rocks, or as a base for classic Cuban cocktails (Cuba Libre, Mojito). It pairs well with chocolate and caramel desserts, Cuban cigars, and traditional spicy Caribbean dishes.
Terroir: Cuba, with its hot and humid tropical climate, favors rapid aging in white oak barrels, giving the rum complexity and maturity in a short time.
Production: obtained from fermented and distilled molasses, then blended and aged in American white oak barrels. The process aims to balance lightness and intense aromas.
