Color: Deep amber with golden and copper highlights. Clear and brilliant, it fully expresses the influence of American oak during aging.

Nose: Sweet and harmonious, with enveloping notes of vanilla, caramel, and brown sugar. Followed by hints of honey, ripe fruit (cooked apple, cherry), toasted wood, and a delicate touch of cinnamon and orange peel. The bouquet is full, balanced, and inviting.

Palate: Soft and velvety, with a sweet entry of caramel and vanilla. Mid-palate, spicy notes of black pepper and cinnamon emerge, balanced by a touch of honey and red fruit. Long and harmonious finish, with returns of toasted wood and a slight warmth accompanying the close.

Terroir: Produced in the heart of Kentucky, in an area characterized by limestone soils and strong seasonal temperature fluctuations, ideal for barrel aging. Maker’s Mark still adopts manual barrel rotation to ensure uniformity of taste. The barrels, made of new, heavily charred American oak, provide sweetness, spice, and aromatic depth.

Distillation: Maker’s Mark uses the traditional "sour mash" method, which involves adding a portion of previously fermented mash to maintain consistent product quality. Double distillation takes place in copper stills, followed by aging in new, internally charred American oak barrels (level #3). It is not chill-filtered to preserve aromatic richness. Each barrel is bottled only when it reaches optimal maturity, with no age statement.
