Color: Intense ruby red with lively violet reflections, bright and compact in the glass.

Nose: Elegant and fruity, with notes of ripe cherry, blackberry, small red fruits, and light spicy nuances of black pepper and cocoa, accompanied by delicate herbaceous and mineral hints.

Taste: Soft and harmonious, with silky, well-integrated tannins and a balanced freshness that gives dynamism to the drinking experience. On the palate, hints of ripe forest fruits, plum, and light spicy notes emerge, with a persistent and refined finish.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C

Pairings: Ideal with Ticino cured meats, pasta with meat sauce, grilled red meats, braised dishes, roast poultry, and medium-aged cheeses. Also excellent with mushroom risottos, Mediterranean cuisine, and traditional Swiss dishes.

Terroir: The Merlot vineyards are located in the hilly areas of Monte Ceneri and Malcantone, characterized by mineral and well-drained soils. The mild climate of Ticino, influenced by the Alps and the lakes, ensures significant temperature fluctuations that promote slow and complete ripening, enhancing the aromatic elegance and freshness of the grape variety.

Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified traditionally in stainless steel with temperature control. Maceration on the skins allows for a delicate extraction of color and aromas, followed by aging in steel tanks and partial time in wood to round out the tannic structure and increase complexity and balance.
