Color: Straw yellow with golden highlights, fine and persistent perlage

Bouquet: Elegant and complex, with notes of white-fleshed fruit such as apple and pear, followed by floral hints of hawthorn and acacia, and touches of pastry and toasted almond.

Taste: Soft and creamy, with good freshness balanced by a delicate sapidity. On the palate, notes of dried fruit, yeast, and a light minerality are perceived, giving the wine a long and pleasant persistence.

Alcohol content: 12.5%

Serving temperature: 6-8°C

Pairings: Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs perfectly with raw fish appetizers, tuna or salmon tartare, shellfish, and delicate seafood-based first courses. Also excellent with fresh cheeses and vegetable-based dishes.

Terroir: Franciacorta is characterized by morainic soil rich in pebbles and sand, which gives the wines a particular minerality and freshness. The mild climate of the area, mitigated by the nearby Lake Iseo, favors balanced ripening of the grapes, maintaining good acidity.

Vinification: The grapes are hand-picked and undergo soft pressing to extract the free-run juice. Fermentation takes place partly in stainless steel and partly in oak barriques, with aging on the lees for at least 30 months, which gives the wine a distinctive creaminess and aromatic complexity.

Awards and scores: Antica Fratta's Essence Satén Franciacorta DOCG 2019 has achieved excellent recognition. It received 92 points from Falstaff magazine, which praised its elegance, with aromas of sage, mint, citrus zest, and a persistent, refreshing finish. Furthermore, in 2023 it was awarded the Rosa d'Oro by ViniPlus and received high ratings from Wine Enthusiast for its quality and refinement.
