Origin: Rocchetta Tanaro, Asti, Piedmont, Italy
Grape Variety: 100% Barbera
Color: Intense ruby red with purple highlights
Aroma: Complex and persistent, with notes of ripe fruit such as cherry, black cherry, plum, and blackberry, accompanied by spicy nuances of black pepper, vanilla, cocoa, and a hint of licorice.
Taste: Dry, structured, and enveloping, with soft, well-integrated tannins. On the palate, it displays excellent freshness, typical of Barbera, balanced by a rich fruity concentration and a slight spicy vein. Long and harmonious finish, with a gustatory persistence that recalls the fruit and spice notes.
Serving Temperature: 16-18°C
Pairings: Ideal with red meats, roasts, braised meats, game, and aged cheeses. Also excellent with flavorful first courses based on meat ragù or mushrooms and traditional Piedmontese dishes such as agnolotti del plin.
Terroir: The vines grow on soils rich in clay and sand, with a calcareous component that imparts good minerality. The hills of Rocchetta Tanaro enjoy a favorable microclimate, characterized by significant day-night temperature fluctuations, which allow for optimal grape ripening.
Vinification: Harvest is manual, with careful selection of the clusters. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, followed by maceration on the skins to maximize the extraction of the wine's aromas and structure. Aging continues in French oak barriques for about 12 months, followed by additional months of resting in the bottle before release.

This wine represents the excellence of the production, with a complex and enveloping sensory profile that makes it suitable for both immediate consumption and cellaring.
