Origin: Liguria, Italy – Savona Hills

Grape Varieties: Granaccia, Rossese, Barbera, Cinsault

Color: Bright ruby red with violet reflections

Bouquet: Intense and complex, with notes of fresh red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by delicate floral nuances of violet and a light spiciness of white pepper and aromatic herbs typical of the Mediterranean scrub.

Taste: Fresh, balanced, and enveloping, with soft tannins and a lively acidity that gives the wine a pleasant freshness. On the palate, flavors of wild berries, ripe cherry, and a light mineral note reflecting the Ligurian terroir emerge. Persistent and flavorful finish, with a slightly salty touch.

Alcohol Content: 13%

Serving Temperature: 16-18°C

Pairings: Ideal with white and red meat dishes, such as Ligurian-style rabbit, roast lamb, medium-aged cheeses, and rich pasta dishes, such as wild boar ragù. It also pairs well with stewed or grilled fish dishes, offering a versatile and refined interpretation of the Ligurian tradition.

Terroir: The grapes come from the hills in the province of Savona, characterized by clay and limestone soils, which give the wine a particular minerality. Proximity to the sea contributes to the aromatic complexity, providing a light saline note that enhances the overall freshness of the wine.

Vinification: The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified separately with temperature-controlled fermentations. Maceration on the skins follows to extract color and tannins, with aging in steel to preserve the freshness and expressiveness of the grape varieties.

Description: The 2022 Bansigu IGT Rosso Colline Savonesi from Bruna Azienda Agricola is a wine that captures the essence of Liguria, with a combination of indigenous and international grape varieties that blend in a harmony of freshness and complexity. The estate's artisanal production aims to enhance the distinctive characteristics of the varieties used, offering a tasting experience that expresses the territory through balanced aromas and flavors.
