Nose: Elegant and enveloping, with notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, accompanied by hints of sweet spices, black pepper, and a light touch of Mediterranean aromatic herbs.
Palate: On the palate, it is soft and harmonious, with velvety and well-integrated tannins. The structure is balanced by a pleasant freshness, with a persistent finish characterized by notes of ripe fruit, dark chocolate, and a touch of licorice. The mineral component gives the wine a depth and complexity that reflect the Bolgheri terroir.

Pairings: Ideal with grilled red meats, roasts, game, and aged cheeses. It also pairs perfectly with Tuscan cuisine dishes such as pappardelle with wild boar ragù or peposo. Excellent with mushroom and truffle-based dishes as well.
Terroir: The Ca' Marcanda vineyards are located on soils rich in gravel and clay, which help give the wine a distinct minerality and structure. The area's Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot, dry summers and sea breezes, promotes optimal grape ripening, enhancing the balance between acidity and fruit sweetness.
Vinification: The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel at controlled temperatures to preserve freshness and aromatic integrity. Aging takes place in French oak barriques for about 12 months, followed by bottling and further bottle aging before release.
