Grape variety: 100% Merlot
Color: Intense ruby red with violet reflections, evolving towards garnet with aging.
Nose: Complex and intense, with notes of ripe red fruit, sweet spices, tobacco, and delicate hints of wood.
Palate: Full-bodied, harmonious, and elegant wine. Aromas of cherry, blackberry, licorice, and vanilla are perceived on the palate, supported by a soft and persistent tannic structure.
Alcohol content: 13.2%
Serving temperature: 16 – 17°C
Pairings: Excellent with red meats, roasts, game, rich risottos, and aged cheeses.
Terroir: The vineyards located on the hills of Ticino, with rich and well-drained soils, benefiting from a temperate climate that favors the ripening of the grapes, give the wine complexity and finesse.
Vinification: After the manual harvest of the grapes, fermentation follows in steel with prolonged maceration to extract aromas and structure. Aging takes place in oak barrels for at least 12 months, followed by an additional 6 months in the bottle to develop elegance and complexity.
