Origin: Saint-Estèphe, Médoc, Bordeaux, France
Grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot
Color: Intense ruby red with garnet reflections
Nose: Complex and enveloping, with notes of ripe black fruit such as blackcurrant and blackberry, accompanied by nuances of tobacco, sweet spices and hints of cedar wood
Palate: Dry and structured, with elegant and well-integrated tannins. Flavors of berries, dark chocolate and a slight minerality emerge on the palate, supported by balanced freshness and a persistent finish
Serving temperature: 16-18°C
Pairings: Ideal with grilled red meats, roasts, game and aged cheeses. It also pairs perfectly with mushroom and truffle-based dishes
Terroir: The vineyards of Château Beau-Site extend over gravelly slopes that gently slope down towards the Gironde estuary. This privileged location, with soils rich in gravel and sand, favors optimal drainage and uniform ripening of the grapes, giving the wine a solid tannic structure and a distinctive minerality
Vinification: The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in oak barrels for approximately 16 months. This process allows the wine to develop aromatic complexity and a balanced structure
Description: Château Beau-Site is one of the oldest properties in Saint-Estèphe, located next to the famous Château Calon-Ségur. The name "Beau-Site" means "beautiful place," reflecting the castle's panoramic position which offers breathtaking views over the Gironde estuary. In recent years, the estate has benefited from significant investments, including the complete renovation of the castle and the creation of a modern stainless steel winery. These improvements, combined with the experience of the Domaines Borie-Castéja team, have elevated the quality of the wines produced, making them comparable to the best crus of Saint-Estèphe
Classification: Cru Bourgeois Supérieur
Type: Red Wine
