Origin: Switzerland, Grisons, Bündner Herrschaft, Maienfeld

Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay

Color: Brilliant and luminous straw yellow, with subtle golden reflections

Nose: Complex and elegant, with notes of ripe quince, candied citrus zest, toasted hazelnut, melted butter, and a marked mineral and smoky vein of flint

Palate: Full-bodied, creamy and deep on the palate, supported by a vibrant freshness and a typically Alpine calcareous sapidity that provides momentum, precision, and a very long finish

Alcohol content: 13.0%

Serving temperature: 10 - 12 °C

Pairings: Elaborate lake and sea fish, baked salmon, noble crustaceans, white meats in creamy sauces, veal, and aged Alpine cheeses

Terroir: Vineyards located on the hillsides of Maienfeld on soils rich in limestone, schist, and rock fragments. The microclimate of the Bündner Herrschaft, mitigated by the warm Foehn wind and characterized by significant day-night temperature fluctuations, allows for optimal phenolic ripeness while maintaining vibrant natural acidity

Vinification: Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in French barriques. Aged sur lie (on fine lees) in French oak barrels for about 10-12 months with regular bâtonnage to enhance structure and aromatic complexity, without invasive filtration

In-depth description: The Chardonnay from Möhr-Niggli is one of the greatest Burgundian expressions interpreted in an Alpine style within the prestigious Bündner Herrschaft. The result of precision viticulture in Maienfeld managed by Sina and Matthias Gubler-Möhr, it combines fruit richness with the mineral verticality typical of Grisons limestone soils. The skillful use of French oak and the prolonged stay on the lees impart roundness and toasted finesse, while keeping intact the tension and elegance that distinguish the great white wines of the region.

Classification: AOC Graubünden (Controlled Designation of Origin)

Type: Dry still white wine

Dosage: Not applicable

Allergens: Contains sulfites

Awards and recognition: Consistently at the top of Swiss wine critic ratings (regularly rated between 17/20 and 18.5/20 by Weinwisser and among the excellence references of Mémoire des Vins Suisses / Falstaff Switzerland)

Production philosophy: Integrated production
