Nose: A seductive and complex bouquet, with predominant notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, enriched by spicy nuances of cinnamon and delicate mineral undertones.
Taste: On the palate, it is elegant and refined, with a harmonious structure. Flavors of strawberry and cherry integrate with a pleasant freshness and slight acidity, supported by fine, well-balanced tannins. The finish is long, with hints of sweet spices and a subtle minerality that reflects the Maienfeld terroir.
Serving temperature: 14-16°C
Pairings: Ideal with white meat dishes, such as chicken or turkey, pasta dishes with light sauces, Mediterranean cuisine, and soft cheeses. Also excellent with local Grisons specialties.
Terroir: The vineyards are located on south-facing slopes, between 500 and 600 meters above sea level, benefiting from a favorable microclimate with sunny days and cool nights. The limestone and detrital soils give the wine a distinctive minerality and finesse.
Vinification: The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected. Fermentation takes place in wooden barrels, with a percentage of whole clusters to increase aromatic complexity. The wine matures for about 12 months in French oak barriques, refining its structure and developing depth and character.
