Origin: Negrar, Verona, Veneto, Italy

Grape Varieties: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, other red grape varieties

Color: Deep ruby red with garnet highlights, hinting at the wine’s evolution and complexity.

Nose: A complex and expansive bouquet, with intense notes of cherries in spirits, ripe plum, and hints of dried fruits such as walnuts and almonds, accompanied by nuances of tobacco, sweet spices, and hints of balsamic and aromatic herbs.

Palate: On the palate, this wine is structured and velvety, with soft, well-integrated tannins. It offers a depth that reveals ripe fruit and spices, with a slight note of dark chocolate and licorice on the finish. The acidity balances the richness of the wine, making it long and persistent with a harmonious and complex finish.

Alcohol content: 15.5%

Serving temperature: 18/20° C

Pairings: It pairs magnificently with braised or grilled red meat dishes, game, aged cheeses, and traditional Veronese cuisine, such as Amarone risotto. It is also excellent paired with rich and flavorful dishes based on truffles or porcini mushrooms.

Terroir: The grapes are grown on hilly limestone and clay soils, with exposures that allow for gradual ripening, which is essential for preserving the freshness and complexity of the fruit. The vines, with low yields per hectare, contribute to the aromatic intensity and structure of the wine.

Vinification: The grapes, hand-harvested and carefully selected, undergo a drying process (appassimento) for several months to concentrate sugars and flavors. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats, followed by a long aging process in Slavonian oak barrels, where the wine evolves and acquires complexity.

Description: The 2014 Rosso del Bepi by Quintarelli is a unique and extraordinary wine, born in a year not favorable for Amarone, which was therefore declassified to “Rosso del Bepi” to maintain the quality and integrity of production. This wine is a celebration of Valpolicella’s winemaking excellence and a tribute to the art of Giuseppe Quintarelli, the master of Veronese wine. Its complexity, structure, and aging potential make it a collector's wine, capable of evolving beautifully over the years while preserving the character and passion of the Quintarelli winery.
