Nose: Intense and complex, with notes of ripe tropical fruit such as pineapple, mango, and papaya, accompanied by citrusy hints of lemon zest and grapefruit. The bouquet is enriched by floral nuances and light touches of vanilla and butter, derived from aging in wood.
Taste: Full and enveloping on the palate, with a structure balanced between freshness and softness. The fruity flavors blend with toasted and buttery notes, followed by a pleasant minerality that provides depth and persistence. The finish is long, with returns of fruit and hints of vanilla.

Serving temperature: 10-12°C
Pairings: Ideal with rich fish dishes, shellfish, pasta dishes with creamy sauces, soft cheeses, and white meats. Also excellent with Sicilian cuisine dishes such as pasta with sardines or fish couscous.
Terroir: Menfi DOC Chardonnay is grown in the vineyards of Menfi, an area characterized by calcareous and sandy soils that contribute to the wine's minerality. The Mediterranean climate, with hot and dry summers, favors perfect grape ripening while maintaining excellent acidity.
Vinification: The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented partly in steel and partly in French oak barriques. This is followed by aging on the lees for about six months, which gives the wine complexity and structure.
Description: The Menfi DOC Chardonnay by Planeta is an excellent example of the Sicilian tradition, capable of combining modernity and terroir. This wine expresses all the richness of the territory, combining the opulence of ripe fruit with the finesse of mineral and woody notes.

Wine Enthusiast has awarded it a score of 92 points, praising its complexity and balance between creaminess and refreshing acidity. The wine has also obtained the GOLD WineHunter Award at the Merano Wine Festival, which recognizes wines with a score between 90 and 94.99.
