Davidoff XO Cognac 40%

Origin: France, Cognac region. It is a blend composed of numerous eaux‑de‑vie sourced from areas such as Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Fins Bois, and Bons Bois.

Raw material: Classic Cognac grape varieties (including Ugni Blanc), used to produce the eaux‑de‑vie that later go into the blend.

Color: Warm, golden amber with warm highlights reminiscent of seasoned wood.

Nose: Complex, with notes of plum and ripe damson, honey, vanilla, licorice, cloves, red cedar, and woody hints derived from oak barrels.

Palate: Soft yet intense; ripe fruits (plum, peach), sweet spices like cloves, honey, and toasted wood emerge. Notes of walnut and a certain warm-woody component are also perceived on the palate. A long and persistent finish, with returns of spices, wood, and fruit.

Alcohol content: 40% ABV.

Serving temperature: Around 18‑20 °C, to allow the aromas to fully unfold.

Pairings: Excellent as a digestif; pairs well with fine cigars; good with dark chocolate or desserts that are not too sweet; to be enjoyed slowly, even on its own, to appreciate its complexity.

Production: The blend is based on aged eaux‑de‑vie, with the youngest component being at least 10 years old. Some parts of the blend have an average age that can reach 20 years. Aging takes place in French oak barrels (including Limousin oak).

Aging: Traditional double distillation from white wine; maturation in oak barrels, including new barrels at the beginning to develop certain notes (e.g., vanilla), followed by a period in more seasoned barrels.

Description: Davidoff XO Cognac is a luxury cognac that offers a balanced fusion of elegance and depth. The mature eaux‑de‑vie provide structure, fruity and honeyed notes impart sweetness and richness, and spices and wood add character. It is an experience that evolves from the nose to the palate, ideal for reflective moments or to be shared slowly.
