Auchentoshan Three Wood - Lowland Scotch Whisky 43%

Origin: Dalmuir, Lowlands, Scotland

Raw material: Malted barley (single malt), fermented and triple distilled

Colour: Deep amber with bronze highlights, thanks to the influence of the sherry casks

Nose: Notes of ripe fruit such as plum, raisins, and apricot, accompanied by blackcurrant, candied orange, brown sugar, and caramel. Hints of sherry, toffee, and light spices.

Palate: Smooth and dense, with echoes of syrupy fruit, hazelnut, cinnamon, and lemon zest. Sweetness of butterscotch, sweet wood, and sherry, in an elegant balance.

Finish: Long, persistent, and enveloping, with returns of dried fruit, spiced wood, and a refined sweetness.

Alcohol content: 43%

Serving temperature: 18-20 °C, ideal in a tasting glass, neat or with a few drops of water to open up the aromas.

Pairings: Perfect with dark chocolate, dried fruit desserts, fig and plum-based sweets. Interesting with aged cheeses and excellent paired with mild cigars.

Terroir: The distillery is located in the Scottish Lowlands, an area with a temperate and humid climate that favors slow maturation. The water used comes from local sources. Aging in ex-Bourbon, Oloroso, and Pedro Ximénez casks gives the spirit a rich, fruity, and complex character.
