Origin: Chianti Classico, Tuscany, Italy
Grape Variety: Sangiovese (90%), Canaiolo, and Colorino
Color: Deep ruby red with garnet reflections that enhance its visual elegance.
Nose: Broad and complex, with notes of ripe forest fruits such as cherry and blackberry, floral hints of violet, and tertiary nuances of sweet spices, tobacco, and a light toastiness resulting from aging in wood.
Taste: On the palate, it is intense and well-structured, with silky tannins and a balanced freshness that enhances the persistence of the flavor. Flavors of ripe fruit, cocoa, and a delicate balsamic note emerge, culminating in a long, harmonious finish of great elegance.
Alcohol content: 14%
Serving temperature: 16-18°C
Pairings: Ideal with Tuscan cuisine dishes such as Florentine steak, game, braised meats, and aged cheeses. It is also excellent with fresh pasta with rich sauces, porcini mushrooms, and truffles, providing a refinement that enhances the complexity of the dish.
Terroir: The vineyards are located on predominantly calcareous and "galestro" (marl) soils, typical of the Chianti Classico area, which help give the wine an elegant tannic structure and pleasant minerality. The Tuscan hills, with their balanced climate, favor a gradual ripening of the grapes, imparting finesse and aromatic intensity.
Vinification: After manual harvesting, the grapes undergo prolonged maceration, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation. Subsequently, the wine matures for at least 18 months in French oak barrels, which accentuate the aromatic complexity and harmony of the tannins, followed by further aging in the bottle.
