Nose: Complex and enveloping, with notes of ripe black fruit such as blackcurrant and plum, accompanied by nuances of cedar, cocoa, and hints of forest floor
Palate: Dry, structured, with fine, concentrated tannins. Flavors of wild berries, spices, and a pleasant minerality emerge on the palate, supported by balanced acidity that provides freshness and longevity
Serving temperature: 16-18°C
Food pairings: Ideal with grilled red meats, roasts, game, and aged cheeses. It also pairs perfectly with dishes based on mushrooms and truffles
Terroir: The vineyards span 30 hectares, with clay-limestone gravel soils around the estate and deep gravel in the village of Bages, lending the wine a distinctive minerality and tannic structure
Vinification: The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified separately in concrete vats. Aging lasts 16 months in French oak barriques, 40% of which are new
