Origin: Italy – Moresko Distillery, producer of traditional fruit-based liqueurs, with a special focus on marasca cherries.
Raw materials: Selected marasca cherries, neutral grain alcohol, sugar, and natural cherry infusion.
Color: Clear and crystalline, with light pinkish hues.
Nose: Intense and fruity, dominated by fresh and sweet notes of marasca cherry, enriched by floral and almond nuances.
Taste: Sweet, smooth, and harmonious, with a full cherry flavor and a slightly bitter aftertaste typical of the marasca cherry. Persistent and elegant.
Alcohol content: 18% ABV.
Serving temperature: 6–8 °C.
Pairings: Perfect as a digestif or served cold over ice. Excellent for preparing aromatic cocktails (such as the Aviation or Hemingway Daiquiri) and ideal in pastry making to flavor sweets, creams, fruit desserts, and artisanal gelato.
Terroir: The marasca cherries come from hilly areas of Northern Italy, where the temperate climate and temperature fluctuations favor slow maturation and the fruit's aromatic intensity. The calcareous soil contributes to the freshness and complexity of the final aromatic profile.
Distillation: Marasca cherries are harvested when fully ripe and left to macerate in neutral alcohol for several weeks to extract aromas and essential oils. This is followed by slow and careful distillation, cold filtration, and the addition of sugar syrup to achieve a balance between sweetness and freshness. The liqueur is then aged in stainless steel for several months before bottling.
