Origin: Maienfeld, Grisons, Switzerland

Grape variety: Pinot Noir

Color: Intense ruby red with garnet reflections

Nose: Complex aromas of ripe wild berries, such as cherries and raspberries, accompanied by spicy notes of cinnamon and subtle hints of toastiness derived from aging in barriques.

Taste: On the palate, it is elegant and refined, with a fine and well-integrated tannic structure. Flavors of ripe red fruit are balanced by a lively acidity and a delicate minerality, which give the wine depth and persistence.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C

Pairings: Ideal with red meats, game, noble poultry, and aged cheeses. It also pairs perfectly with dishes from traditional Swiss and Italian cuisine.

Terroir: The Pinot Noir vineyards are situated at an altitude between 550 and 600 meters above sea level, on south-facing slopes with mineral-rich soils. The region's favorable climate, characterized by warm summers and cool nights, allows for slow and optimal ripening of the grapes, contributing to the wine's aromatic complexity and structure.

Vinification: The harvest and selection of the grapes are carried out manually. A portion of the clusters is fermented whole in 2-ton wooden barrels, following the "whole-bunch vinification" technique. The wine then matures for 16-18 months in 228-liter barriques on the fine lees, developing complexity and depth.

Description: The Pilgrim Pinot Noir represents the pinnacle of Weingut Möhr-Niggli's production, reflecting the dedication and expertise of winemakers Matthias and Sina Gubler-Möhr. This wine embodies the elegance and finesse typical of Pinot Noir from the Grisons region, offering a memorable tasting experience for lovers of high-quality wines.

Classification: AOC Graubünden

Type: Red Wine

Allergens: Contains sulfites

Awards and scores: The Pilgrim Pinot Noir has received a score of 20/20 from Gerstl Weinselektionen, highlighting its excellence and superior quality.

Philosophy: Integrated production with Fair'n Green certification, which promotes sustainable and ecological practices in the vineyard and cellar.
