Nose: The aromatic bouquet is rich and complex, with dominant notes of ripe dark fruit, such as blackberry and currant, accompanied by herbaceous and spicy nuances of black pepper, tobacco, and light balsamic sensations.
Taste: On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with soft, well-integrated tannins that provide balance and depth. It features pleasant acidity that lends freshness and a persistent finish with hints of fruit and sweet spices.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C
Pairings: Pairs perfectly with grilled red meats, roasts, game, aged cheeses, and mushroom-based dishes. Also excellent with flavorful pasta dishes and meat ragù.
Terroir: The vines are cultivated on the calcareous and clayey soils typical of the Veneto hill region, which give the wine a marked tannic structure and a distinct minerality. The microclimate, characterized by warm days and cool nights, promotes optimal grape ripening.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified separately, with long fermentations and macerations that allow for maximum extraction from the skins. After blending, the wine matures for 24 months in French oak barriques and is further refined in the bottle for at least 6 months before being released to the market.
