Origin: Sesto San Giovanni, Lombardy, Italy

Raw materials: Alcohol, water, sugar, medicinal herbs, roots, citrus peels, spices, natural red coloring.

Color: Intense, brilliant ruby red with carmine highlights

Aroma: Intense, complex, and herbaceous, with notes of bitter orange peel, rhubarb, cinchona, aromatic herbs, and spices, creating an unmistakable and lingering bouquet.

Flavor: Decisive and enveloping bitterness, well-balanced by a subtle sweetness. On the palate, bitter citrus, medicinal herbs, roots, and a spicy note are perceived, leaving a long-lasting finish. Medium-bodied, balanced, and versatile, perfect for mixing.

Alcohol content: 23%

Serving temperature: 6/8 °C (best served with ice or as a cocktail base)

Pairings: Ideal as an aperitif, served neat with ice and soda. It is an essential ingredient for iconic cocktails such as the Negroni, Americano, Garibaldi, and Boulevardier. Pairs well with cold dishes, savory finger food, fresh cheeses, and cold cuts.

Terroir: Not linked to vineyards, but the result of a secret blend of over 60 botanicals including herbs, roots, citrus peels, and spices from various parts of the world. The production environment of Sesto San Giovanni and the historical Milanese tradition have shaped the unique identity of the product.

Production: The botanicals are infused in alcohol and water at a controlled temperature, extracted, and filtered. Sugar syrup and the characteristic brilliant red color are added. The recipe, unchanged since 1860, is secret and jealously guarded by the Campari Group.

Description:
Campari Bitter 23% is the icon of the Italian aperitif, born from the vision of Gaspare Campari in 1860. With its vibrant red color and bittersweet taste, it represents one of the most authentic expressions of Italian convivial culture. This slightly lower-alcohol version maintains the intense and complex character of the classic Campari, but with a softer and more accessible profile. A liqueur that has marked the history of mixed drinks, becoming the essential base for legendary cocktails and the international symbol of the Italian aperitif.
