Origin: Coldrerio, Canton Ticino, Switzerland
Grape Variety: Merlot
Color: Intense ruby red with garnet reflections
Aroma: Intense scents of ripe black fruit, such as blackberry and cherry, accompanied by spicy notes and hints of toast
Taste: Elegant and balanced, with a complex structure and a dominant tannic component. Flavors of ripe dark fruit, spices, and a pleasant toasted note emerge on the palate, lending depth and persistence
Serving Temperature: 17-18°C
Pairings: Ideal with red meats, game, and aged semi-hard cheeses. It also pairs well with structured appetizers
Terroir: The grapes come from vineyards with selected vines over 40 years old, located on clay soils with optimal exposure, which give the wine a particular intensity and aromatic complexity
Vinification: The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a 30-40 day maceration. The wine is aged for 18-20 months in new 300-400 liter French oak barrels, which help develop its structure and complex aromatic notes
