Origin: Ascona, Canton Ticino, Switzerland
Grape Variety: 100% Merlot
Color: Intense garnet red
Bouquet: Ample and complex bouquet, with notes of red currant and wild strawberries, enriched by hints of nutmeg, tobacco, and licorice.
Taste: Dry and enveloping, with a tannic structure that is well-defined yet never intrusive. On the palate, it is easy-drinking and persistent, with a robust structure that maintains excellent drinkability.
Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.
Serving temperature: 18-20°C
Pairings: Perfect with hearty first courses, red meats, game, and aged cheeses. Ideal for accompanying the intense flavors of the Ticino gastronomic tradition.
Terroir: The grapes come from vineyards at least 30 years old located in the Maggia Delta. The soil and microclimate of the region give the wine a fine and enveloping structure.
Vinification: The grapes, carefully selected for their high sugar content, are vinified using traditional methods. Aging takes place for approximately 18 months in new French oak barriques, conferring complexity and the ability to evolve over time.
