Palate: Great structure, with well-integrated, ripe tannins that ensure an absence of harshness, roughness, or aggression. It expresses the full potential of the Malcantone terroir captured in a bottle.

Pairings: Ideal with grilled red meats, roasts, braised meats, aged cheeses, and dishes featuring mushrooms and truffles.
Terroir: The vineyards are located in Ronchi di Cademario, in the Malcantone, a hilly region of Ticino. The soil and microclimate give the wine a complex structure and distinctive aromas.
Vinification: The grapes are fully destemmed and 80% crushed in open wooden vats of 2200-2800 liters and temperature-controlled stainless steel vats ranging from 1000 to 2750 liters. Fermentation occurs with maceration for a period of 7 days, with 5 daily manual punch-downs. This is followed by maturation in new 225-liter French oak barriques for about 15 months. No stabilizing treatments, no filtration, and no use of pumps; racking and wine handling are carried out exclusively by gravity.
Description: The Malcantone Rosso dei Ronchi from Cantina Monti is a blend of five grape varieties, with a predominance of Merlot, grown in Ronchi di Cademario. It displays great structure, with elegant and deep fruity aromas accompanied by balsamic notes. The well-integrated, mature tannins ensure a smooth palate free of harshness, fully expressing the potential of the Malcantone terroir.
