Pairings: Ideal as an after-dinner drink, it pairs perfectly with chocolate-based desserts, dry pastries, and aged cheeses. Also excellent when paired with a good cigar.
Terroir: The pomace used comes from the hills of Monferrato, an area recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, characterized by rich soils and an ideal microclimate for the cultivation of native grape varieties such as Barbera and Nebbiolo.
Distillation: The fresh pomace is distilled separately using a discontinuous method in steam-heated copper stills. Subsequently, the resulting grappas are blended and aged together for 12 months in wooden barrels, allowing for a perfect harmonization of aromas.
Description: The "Monprà" Grappa represents one of the historic labels of Distillerie Berta, the result of a skillful blending technique that combines the aromatic peculiarities of Barbera and Nebbiolo. Aging in wood gives the distillate an olfactory and gustatory complexity, making it a product of excellence in the panorama of Piedmontese grappas.
