Origin: Forcalquier, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Provence, France
Raw materials: Pastis, obtained from the infusion and distillation of over 65 herbs and spices, including star anise, fennel, mugwort, cardamom, black and white pepper, cinnamon, cloves, licorice, thyme, rosemary, sage, verbena, and coriander.
Color: Golden yellow with green and brown reflections, a natural color derived from the herbs used.
Nose: Complex and layered, with initial notes of anise that give way to Provençal herbaceous tones (thyme, rosemary, sage), warm spices (cinnamon, pepper, cloves), delicate citrus, and fresh balsamic sensations.
Palate: Fresh and enveloping attack with a predominance of anise, followed by an aromatic progression that reveals Mediterranean spices and herbs. A balance between sweetness and bitterness, with a long, elegant, and persistent finish. Diluted with cold water, it fully releases its aromatic complexity.
Alcohol content: 45%
Serving temperature: Ideal at 6-10 °C after dilution with cold water (recommended ratio: 1 part pastis to 6-10 parts water).
Pairings: Excellent as an aperitif, perfect with Mediterranean appetizers, olives, tapenade, fish dishes, aromatic vegetables, cold soups, and spiced dishes.
Terroir: The herbs used partly come from the Montagne de Lure in Provence, characterized by calcareous soils and a Mediterranean climate with significant temperature fluctuations that favor the development of intense and complex aromas.
Production: The production of Pastis Grand Cru Henri Bardouin is an art that combines tradition and rigor. Over 65 herbs and spices, collected in Provence and around the world, are patiently macerated and distilled to extract their purest scents. Each infusion is then skillfully blended until the perfect balance between freshness, spice, and aromatic intensity is achieved. The result is a unique, elegant, and complex pastis, capable of capturing the soul of Provence in every sip.
Description: The Pastis Grand Cru Henri Bardouin 45% is a unique artisanal aperitif, obtained from the infusion and distillation of over 65 herbs and spices. Elegant and complex, it combines the freshness of anise with the aromatic notes of Provence, offering a refined and persistent sip.
