Cantina Chiodi, led by the Arnaboldi family, is a Ticinese wine institution with a history dating back to the late 19th century. Originally dedicated to beer and the distribution of Italian wines, it evolved under Attilio Arnaboldi in the 1950s with the acquisition of the Grotto Chiodi in Ascona. In the 1970s, Fabio Arnaboldi introduced innovations including “Tre Terre” and “Rompidée,” while in 2005, Andrea Arnaboldi provided a new creative impetus, giving life to iconic labels such as “Ultima Goccia” and “Prima Goccia.” With its dedication to Ticinese Merlot and the skillful use of barriques, the winery today represents excellence within the Swiss wine landscape.
