Color: Deep ruby red with violet reflections.
Bouquet: Intense and complex, with notes of ripe black fruit such as blackberry and plum, accompanied by delicate hints of violet, dark chocolate, and light traces of sweet spices and tobacco.
Taste: Full-bodied, structured, and round on the palate, with silky tannins and well-balanced freshness. Notes of black fruit reappear, along with a hint of cocoa and licorice. The finish is long and persistent, with a pleasant minerality that reflects the South Tyrolean terroir.
Alcohol Content: 13.5%
Serving Temperature: 16-18°C
Pairings: Pairs perfectly with red meats, game, mushroom-based dishes, and aged cheeses. Also ideal with flavorful traditional South Tyrolean dishes such as venison stew.
Terroir: Grown on the rich, mineral soils of South Tyrol, which give the wine a distinctive tannic structure and particular elegance. The mountain microclimate, with sunny days and cool nights, favors optimal grape ripening, enhancing the fruit characteristics and freshness of the Lagrein.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo traditional vinification, with fermentation in steel tanks to preserve the natural aromas of the variety. Maturation takes place in oak barrels for at least 12 months, lending the wine complexity and depth.
