Nose: Elegant and complex, with notes of caramel toffee, dark chocolate, ripe fruit such as orange, apple, figs and dates, accompanied by nuances of tobacco, leather and a delicate veil of sea smoke and peat

Palate: Rich and structured, with aromas of toffee, bitter cocoa, dried and candied fruit, charred raisins and spiced berries. The peaty character typical of Islay is balanced by sweetness and fruity freshness. Long, persistent and slightly briny finish

Pairings: Ideal for meditation, excellent with dark chocolate, dried fruit desserts, aged cheeses and cigars. Perfect to accompany moments of slow and reflective tasting

Terroir: The water comes from the River Laggan, filtered through peat and limestone soils. Aging takes place in coastal warehouses, including the famous “No. 1 Vault”, the only underground warehouse at sea level in Scotland, which imparts marine nuances and a particular elegance to the distillate

Production: Aged for 18 years in oak casks, predominantly ex-sherry and ex-bourbon. This long maturation provides a balance between fruity sweetness, spicy notes and peaty smoke
