Origin: Pencaitland, East Lothian, Scotland (Lowlands), near Edinburgh. Distillery founded in 1825 and operating under the name Glenkinchie since 1837.
Raw materials: Scotch Single Malt produced with malted barley and water from the Lammermuir Hills.
Color: Bright, luminous gold.
Nose: Delicate and floral, with notes of fresh flowers, cut grass, green apple, pear, lemon zest, and vanilla.
Palate: Soft, creamy, and refined, with nuances of honey, malted cereals, vanilla, citrus, and a light spicy touch.
Finish: Dry, floral, and persistent, with pleasant freshness and a hint of spice.
Alcohol content: 43%
Serving temperature: 17–18 °C; ideal served neat or with a few drops of water to enhance its aromatic complexity.
Pairings: Excellent as an aperitif or with delicate dishes such as sashimi, steamed fish, shellfish, and fruit salads. It also pairs well with light desserts like lemon cheesecake.
Terroir: The fertile lands of East Lothian and the pure water of the Lammermuir Hills bestow freshness, lightness, and floral character upon the distillate.
Production: Matured for 12 years primarily in ex-Bourbon American oak casks (first-fill and refill). Unpeated, it follows the traditional Lowland style.
