Origin: Speyside, Scotland – Aberlour Distillery, founded in 1879 in Charlestown of Aberlour, along the River Spey.
Raw materials: Malted barley (single malt).
Color: Deep amber with golden highlights.
Nose: Elegant and complex, with aromas of raisins, ripe fruit, and plum, followed by spicy sweetness, floral notes, and light hints of hazelnut.
Palate: Soft and full-bodied, with an enveloping sweetness. Notes of plum, vanilla, honey, malt, toasted oak, and a touch of sherry emerge. The spiciness remains elegant and well-integrated.
Finish: Long, warm, and persistent. Returns of dried fruit, honey, oak wood, ginger, and a hint of citrus.
Alcohol content: 43% vol.
Recommended serving temperature: 18–20 °C, ideal for a full and balanced tasting experience.
Pairings: Excellent when sipped neat. Pairs well with roasted meats, mushroom-based dishes, game, aged cheeses, and desserts with dried fruit or dark chocolate.
Production: Obtained from malted barley and pure water from Ben Rinnes, distilled in copper pot stills and aged for 16 years in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. The final blend combines creamy sweetness and spicy richness.
Description: An elegant and complex Speyside whisky with scents of ripe fruit and hazelnut. On the palate, it is soft and rich with vanilla, honey, and spices, featuring a long, warm finish of oak, dried fruit, and a hint of citrus.
