Origin: Valpolicella, Veneto, Italy
Grape Varieties: Corvina, Rondinella, Croatina, and Oseleta
Color: Intense ruby red with garnet reflections, tending toward purple with aging
Nose: A broad and rich bouquet, characterized by intense notes of cherry, plum, blackberry, and black cherry, interwoven with hints of sweet spices, dark chocolate, tobacco, and leather. Balsamic and mineral touches complete a complex and enveloping aromatic profile.
Taste: Powerful and structured, with dense and enveloping tannins. The freshness balances the alcohol content well, offering a persistent and harmonious taste. On the palate, flavors of ripe fruit emerge, with nuances of coffee, cocoa, and a long, refined, and slightly balsamic finish.
Alcohol Content: 16.5%
Serving Temperature: 18-20°C
Pairings: Perfect with grilled red meats, game, braised meats, roasts, and aged cheeses. Also ideal as a meditation wine, it pairs magnificently with dark chocolate and desserts based on bitter cocoa.
Terroir: Located on the hills of Monte Lodoletta, the vineyard benefits from calcareous soil and a climate that alternates between hot summers and harsh winters. This terroir allows for the slow ripening of the grapes, which is essential for achieving the concentration and complexity that characterize this Amarone. The grape drying technique (appassimento), typical of Valpolicella, accentuates the structure and intensity of the wine.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo a long drying process to concentrate aromas and flavors. Fermentation is prolonged and followed by aging in oak barriques for at least 36 months, bestowing upon the wine an aromatic complexity and tannic structure ideal for aging.
