Origin: Barbaresco, Langhe, Piedmont, Italy
Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo
Color: Garnet red with orange reflections, characteristic of aged Nebbiolo.
Nose: Intense and complex, with notes of ripe red fruit such as cherry and strawberry, accompanied by nuances of violet, tobacco, and sweet spices. Tertiary hints of leather and licorice also emerge, typical of Barbaresco.
Palate: Structured, elegant, and harmonious. Well-integrated and velvety tannins, with a lively acidity that provides freshness and a long persistence on the palate. Notes of red fruit and spices are perceived, with a slightly balsamic finish that accentuates the complexity of the wine.
Alcohol content: 14.5%
Serving temperature: 16-18° C
Pairings: Ideal with red meats, roasts, game, braised meats, and mushroom-based dishes. Also perfect with aged cheeses and truffles, it enhances traditional Piedmontese cuisine and robust preparations.
Terroir: Barbaresco is produced on limestone and clay hills, a terroir that imparts a mineral and tannic profile to the Nebbiolo. The area's microclimate promotes optimal grape ripening, maintaining elegance and freshness in balance with its structure.
Vinification: Temperature-controlled fermentation with maceration on the skins for about 30 days. Aging takes place in large oak barrels for 24 months, allowing the wine to develop aromatic complexity and soften the tannins, before further resting in the bottle.
