Origin: La Morra, Piedmont, Italy
Grape Variety: Nebbiolo
Color: Intense garnet red with orange reflections, typical of maturing Barolo.
Nose: Complex and enveloping, with notes of ripe red fruit such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by delicate floral nuances of violet and dried roses, with accents of sweet spices, forest floor, licorice, and a touch of tobacco.
Taste: On the palate, it is dry, structured, and endowed with elegant, persistent tannins, with good acidity that promotes freshness. The flavors recall ripe red fruit with nuances of cocoa, leather, and licorice, while the minerality and aromatic complexity reflect the limestone-clay terroir of the area. The finish is long, enveloping, and harmonious, promising excellent aging potential.
Alcohol content: 14.5%
Serving temperature: 16-18° C
Pairings: This Barolo pairs beautifully with red meat dishes, braised meats, and game, as well as aged cheeses. It is also perfect with white truffle and porcini mushroom dishes, which enhance its complexity and structure. Excellent for accompanying typical Piedmontese dishes such as braised beef in Barolo or Albese-style raw beef.
Terroir: The vineyards are located in La Morra, in one of the best Barolo crus, on limestone-clay soils that give the wine a solid structure and mineral freshness. The altitude and ideal exposure favor balanced ripening, with a particular tannic elegance.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand, with careful selection of the clusters. Vinification involves a long, temperature-controlled fermentation to best extract the characteristics of the Nebbiolo. Subsequently, the wine is aged for at least 24 months in large oak barrels, followed by an additional period in the bottle to reach its maximum aromatic and structural expression.
