Taste: On the palate, the 2017 Barolo Lazzarito is robust and muscular, with the austere tannins typical of the Serralunga d'Alba area. The wine features a full texture and distinct minerality, with a long, persistent finish that recalls the spicy and fruity notes. It is a wine destined to improve further with aging.

Vinification: The process involves fermentation for approximately 4 weeks in steel, with maceration in contact with the skins. The wine then matures for about 30 months in large oak barrels and barriques.

Robert Parker (Wine Advocate) gave it 94 points, appreciating the austere tannins and the aging potential up to 2040. These recognitions position the 2017 Lazzarito among the best examples of Barolo from the Serralunga d'Alba area.
