Color: Intense ruby red with violet reflections
Nose: Complex and deep, with notes of ripe red fruit such as cherry and plum, accompanied by hints of sweet spices, tobacco, and touches of leather and cocoa.
Palate: Dry, full-bodied, and structured, with soft, well-integrated tannins. On the palate, it offers a pleasant freshness balanced by good persistence. Notes of ripe fruit blend with spicy nuances and a slight balsamic touch, giving the wine a long and harmonious finish.
Alcohol content: 14.5%
Serving temperature: 16/18° C
Pairings: Pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, roasts, game, and aged cheeses. Also excellent with structured first courses such as wild boar ragu pasta or baked lasagna. Ideal with typical Abruzzo dishes like grilled lamb.
Terroir: The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes used to produce Binomio Riserva come from vineyards located on hilly terrain with optimal exposure and soils rich in clay and limestone. The climate, characterized by significant temperature fluctuations between day and night, promotes slow and complete ripening of the grapes, giving the wine structure and complexity.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo long maceration to extract the maximum varietal characteristics. The wine matures for at least 24 months in oak barrels, followed by 12 months of bottle aging before release.
