Origin: Jerez de la Frontera, Andalusia, Spain
Grape variety: Distillate obtained from white wines, predominantly from Airén grapes, typical of La Mancha, used for the production of Brandy de Jerez.
Color: Bright mahogany with intense amber highlights.
Nose: Elegant and enveloping, with notes of dried fruit, toasted almonds, cocoa, caramel, and vanilla, enriched by spicy and woody nuances derived from the barrels that previously held Sherry.
Palate: Soft and round, characterized by great balance. Notes of hazelnut, sweet spices, liquorice, and noble wood are perceived on the palate. The finish is long, persistent, and pleasantly warm.
Alcohol content: 40%
Serving temperature: 16/18 °C
Pairings: Ideal as a meditation spirit at the end of a meal. It pairs perfectly with dark chocolate, dry pastries, aged cheeses, desserts based on dried fruit, or as an accompaniment to a cigar.
Terroir: The hot and dry climate of Jerez, combined with the Atlantic influence and limestone soils, gives unique characteristics to the base wines for distillation. Aging takes place using the traditional “criaderas y soleras” system, in American oak barrels that previously contained Sherry, enriching the brandy with aromas and complexity.
Vinification and aging: After the distillation of the white wines, the distillate is placed in oak barrels that mainly held Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso, maturing with the Solera method for several years, until it reaches the complexity and softness typical of the Gran Reserva classification.
Description: Carlos Primero Gran Reserva is one of the most representative brandies of the Spanish tradition. Produced by the historic Osborne house, founded in 1772, it is a refined spirit, the result of centuries of experience. Balance, softness, and great aromatic depth make it a benchmark in the world of Brandy de Jerez.
Classification: Brandy de Jerez – Solera Gran Reserva
Type: Spirit (Brandy)
Allergens: Contains sulphites (derived from the base wine).
