Origin: Champagne region, France — the “La Grande Dame” cuvée brings together wines from 8 Grands Crus of the Veuve Clicquot House.
Grape Variety: Approximately 90% Pinot Noir + 10% Chardonnay.
Color: Bright golden yellow
Nose: Elegant and beautifully fresh, with floral notes of jasmine and acacia, followed by white fruits (pear, apple) and citrus (clementine). Distinct mineral nuances, an expression of the terroir.
Palate: On the palate, it is enveloping and silky, with lively acidity and a refined, mineral structure. Hints of ripe fruit (dried apricot, hazelnut, honey) are perceived, leading to a persistent, elegant finish.
Serving Temperature: 10-12°C
Pairings: As a top-tier cuvée, it pairs well with sophisticated dishes: shellfish, caviar, noble fish, delicate white meats, and, in the case of the House, gourmet vegetable-based cuisine (“garden gastronomy”).
Terroir: The grapes come from 8 selected Grands Crus in Champagne, with a predominance of Pinot Noir from historic Veuve Clicquot vines. The calcareous soils typical of Champagne impart a marked minerality and tension to the wine.
Vinification: As a prestigious vintage cuvée, it requires selected harvesting, long maturation on the lees, and adequate aging before disgorgement.
