Origin: Castagnole Lanze, Asti (AT), Piedmont, Italy
Grape variety: Chardonnay
Color: Straw yellow with golden reflections
Bouquet: Complex and enveloping, with notes of tropical fruit, acacia flowers, and toasted hazelnut.
Taste: Fresh and structured, with a well-defined minerality. Aromas of citrus and almond emerge on the palate, accompanied by a long persistence and a clean finish.
Alcohol content: 13%
Serving temperature: 10-12° C
Pairings: Perfect with fish-based dishes, risottos, white meats, and fresh cheeses. Also excellent with shellfish and seafood dishes.
Terroir: The grapes come from the vineyards of Castagnole Lanze, located on calcareous-marly soils that give the wine its freshness and minerality.
Vinification: Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, followed by 18 months of aging on the lees and 8 months of bottle aging.
Description: La Spinetta's Lidia Chardonnay is an elegant and mineral white wine, dedicated to the mother of the Rivetti brothers, Lidia. With fruity and floral notes, it represents a Piedmontese Chardonnay of great longevity and complexity.
Awards and scores: The vintage received a score of 92/100 from James Suckling and 93/100 from the renowned Robert Parker.
