Color: Ruby red with garnet reflections, intense and bright.
Bouquet: Intense and complex, characterized by notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, accompanied by spicy nuances of black pepper, tobacco, and a touch of Mediterranean herbs.
Taste: Dry, full-bodied, and structured, with soft, well-integrated tannins. The acidity is lively, providing freshness and balance to the palate, with a long and persistent finish that recalls the spicy and mineral notes.
Serving Temperature: 16-18° C
Pairings: Perfect with traditional Calabrian dishes such as grilled lamb, roasts, game, meat stews, and aged cheeses. Also ideal with spicy dishes or braised red meats accompanied by Mediterranean vegetables.
Terroir: The clay-limestone soil of the Cirò Marina hills, together with the influence of the sea, gives the wine a distinct minerality and freshness that reflects the marine environment. The vines, exposed to a warm and breezy climate, reach optimal ripening, favoring the development of intense aromas and good sugar concentration in the grapes.
Vinification: The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified with traditional fermentation, followed by aging in oak barrels for 12-18 months. This method allows the tannins to soften and imparts complexity and depth to the aromatic profile.
