Origin: Cognac, France – a blend of eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois.
Grape Variety: Ugni Blanc (Trebbiano bianco).
Color: Golden amber with copper highlights.
Nose: Intense and complex, with notes of candied fruit (quince, plum, raisin), touches of lime and licorice, accompanied by woody hints of oak and hazelnut.
Palate: Smooth, balanced, and rich. Flavors of vanilla, toasted nuts, caramelized dried fruit, and dehydrated peach emerge.
Finish: Medium-long, spicy, with elegant notes of orange peel and hazelnut.
Alcohol content: 40%
Serving temperature: Best served neat at room temperature (18-20 °C), but also enjoyable on the rocks or as a base for classic and modern cocktails.
Pairings: Ideal enjoyed neat, but also pairs well with dark chocolate desserts, dried fruits, or dry pastries. Also excellent for high-end mixology (Sidecar, Cognac Spritz).
Terroir: Produced with grapes from the best crus in the Cognac region, where chalky and clay soils provide elegance and freshness. The contribution of the Borderies adds roundness and smoothness, while Champagne and Fins Bois enrich the aromatic profile.
Vinification: Traditional distillation in copper stills. The eaux-de-vie are aged between 5 and 7 years in fine-grained Tronçais oak barrels, which release delicate tannins and spicy notes without overpowering the freshness of the spirit.

It balances fruity freshness with spicy depth and woody smoothness, making it versatile for both neat tasting and sophisticated cocktails. The medal decorating the bottle pays homage to Louis XIV, symbolizing the tradition and elegance of the house of Martell.
