Origin: Ticino, Switzerland – Haldemann Distillery, a historic artisanal producer known for crafting quality spirits, deeply rooted in the Ticino region.
Raw materials: Americana grapes (Vitis Labrusca), vinified and distilled according to local tradition.
Color: Crystalline, clear, and brilliant.
Bouquet: Intense and characteristic, with fresh fruity notes typical of Americana grapes and hints of flowers.
Taste: Dry and bold, with a marked vinous flavor, persistent aromas of ripe fruit, and a long, harmonious finish.
Alcohol content: 43% vol.
Serving temperature: 14–16 °C.
Pairings: Excellent as an after-dinner digestive. It also pairs well with dark chocolate, blue cheeses, fruit-based desserts (apples, strawberries), or served with coffee after a meal.
Terroir: Produced in Ticino, where the cultivation of Americana grapes is widespread, often on pergolas. The favorable climate, with hot summers and significant day-to-night temperature variations, promotes grape ripening that leaves strong, characteristic aromas. The soil and environment allow for the extraction of pomace with good aromatic content.
Distillation: Fermented Americana grapes are used. The pomace (or possibly fermented wine, depending on the specific production run) is distilled. There are no precise references to aging periods or the use of wood, so it is likely unaged. It is stored in neutral containers.
