Origin: France, Champagne (Épernay / Hautvillers)
Grape Variety: Blend of Pinot Noir (approximately 56%, including a portion vinified as red wine) and Chardonnay (approximately 44%)
Color: Brilliant copper-pink with warm, luminous coral reflections, accompanied by a fine, lively, and extraordinarily persistent perlage.
Nose: Complex, ethereal, and strongly aromatic. It opens with hints of ripe red berries, blackcurrant, wild strawberry, and blood orange zest, followed by floral nuances of rose petals, white pepper, fresh mint, and a delicate chalky mineral base.
Palate: Taut, caressing, and deep. The attack is fresh and silky, with an enveloping vinous structure supported by very fine tannins and a vibrant citrus acidity. The finish is remarkably long, savory, and persistent, dominated by notes of pomegranate, sweet spices, and a touch of iodine.
Alcohol Content: 12.5% Vol.
Serving Temperature: 10 - 12 °C
Pairings: Baked pigeon with a wild berry reduction, Peking duck, red tuna or amberjack tartare, roasted crustaceans (lobster, scarlet shrimp), washed-rind cheeses, or haute cuisine dishes based on delicate oriental spices.
Terroir: Historic Grand Cru vineyards of Champagne (including Ay, Bouzy, Verzenay, Cramant) combined with the Premier Cru of the Abbey of Hautvillers. Chalky-limestone soils ideal for imparting verticality, mineral tension, and longevity.
Vinification: Hand-harvested with rigorous grape selection. Partial vinification of the Pinot Noir as red wine (carbonic/traditional maceration to extract color and fruity structure) blended with the white base wine before the secondary fermentation. Re-fermentation in the bottle according to the Traditional Method and long aging on the lees in historic cellars for nearly 12 years before disgorgement (dégorgement).
Description: The Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2010 in the limited Damien Hirst edition represents a perfect synthesis between the boldness of contemporary winemaking and the radical vision of visual art. Born from a challenging vintage requiring great selective rigor, this vintage wine enhances the contrast and paradox of Pinot Noir, revealing a vinous, aristocratic, and vibrant sensory profile. The exclusive design by Damien Hirst reinterprets the classic silhouette through warm colors and kaleidoscopic patterns, transforming every bottle into an authentic collector's item destined for connoisseurs of fine French cuvées.
