Origin: Mezzolombardo, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy

Grape Variety: Teroldego

Color: Intense ruby red with violet reflections

Nose: There is something dark and comforting that delves into such depth, joy, and density in this wine. There is something sublime about it. The nose smells of Christmas, with cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon. Quince and lingonberries come and go. Incredibly versatile, incredibly intense, with incredible potential.

Taste: On the palate, it is soft and round, with fine and well-integrated tannins. The taste is full and harmonious, with a pleasant freshness and a persistent finish that recalls wild berries and a delicate minerality, reflecting the Dolomite soils.

Serving Temperature: 16-18°C

Pairings: Excellent with grilled red meats, roasts, game, aged cheeses, and flavorful first courses such as risotto and pasta with meat sauces. Also ideal with mushroom-based dishes.

Terroir: The Teroldego vines sink their roots into the alluvial and sandy soils of the Piana Rotaliana, an ideal environment that gives the wine a unique minerality and expressive finesse. The area's microclimate, with significant temperature variations between day and night, promotes optimal grape ripening, enriching its aromatic profile and structure.

Vinification: Fermented slowly and naturally in open tanks, without any external influence, aged for 15 months in large wooden barrels.

Description: Elisabetta Foradori and Rainer Zierock were always a step ahead of their time. In an era when the entire wine world was looking at and honoring grape varieties described as international, such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, all their attention was focused on indigenous European plants. In 2002, the pursuit of Zamkeit followed the Teroldego native to Trentino. In their winery, which has existed since 1901 and has belonged to the Foradori family since 1939, they were already working on a mass selection of Teroldego in 1985. Just a year later, they pressed their first "Granato." Today, it is an icon of biodynamic viticulture, certified since 2009. Emilio, Theo, and Myrtha continue and develop their parents' work today. Together with their mother, Elisabetta, they are working on an operational concept that harkens back to the partially mixed farming of the past. Always operating within the cycle of nature, always ahead of their time.
