Origin: Gudo, Canton Ticino, Switzerland
Grape variety: Fermented pomace from American grapes (Isabella and similar varieties, typical of Ticino).
Color: Crystalline, transparent, clear.
Aroma: Intense and fragrant, with typical notes of red fruit, wild strawberries, and delicate floral nuances. Characteristic varietal scents of American grapes emerge, with a light aromatic vein reminiscent of "foxy" notes.
Taste: Dry and bold, with a distinct alcoholic structure (45%) that is well-balanced by a natural softness. Fruity aromas, a light varietal sweetness, and a clean, persistent finish are perceived on the palate.
Alcohol content: 45% vol.
Serving temperature: 16–20 °C
Pairings: Excellent as an after-meal digestive. Ideal with dark chocolate, red fruit-based desserts, or as an accompaniment to vanilla or strawberry ice cream. Also perfect for moments of meditation when tasted neat.
Terroir: The Pian Marnino vineyards are located in the Gudo region, in the Canton of Ticino, on well-drained soils with sunny exposures that promote optimal ripening of the grapes. The Ticino microclimate, with warm summers and temperate nights, contributes to enriching the raw material with intense aromas.
Distillation: Fermented pomace distilled using a traditional artisanal method in discontinuous stills to preserve the aromatic characteristics of the American grapes. No wood aging is involved, in order to maintain varietal freshness.
