Pairings: This wine pairs well with washed-rind cheeses, white asparagus soup, Terreni alla Maggia 4-cheese penne, ricotta and spinach ravioli, and raw seafood
Terroir: The vineyards are located in Ascona, with a south-east exposure at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level. The soil is sandy and partly gravelly, derived from granite and gneiss rocks. The planting density is 3,500 vines per hectare, using a double Guyot training system
Vinification: The grapes are harvested in mid-September. Vinification and aging take place in steel tanks, with a maturation period of 5 months, including 2 months on fine fermentation lees. The alcoholic fermentation is completed without malolactic fermentation, which helps maintain a good level of acidity, favorable for aging
Description: The 2023 vintage was characterized by cool and rainy conditions, but with a sunny September that allowed for good grape ripening, resulting in wines with great finesse and elegance
