Origin: Locarno, Maggia Delta, Canton Ticino, Switzerland.
Grape varieties: Merlot, Kerner.
Color: Pale golden yellow with slight copper highlights.
Nose: Fine and fruity bouquet with notes of peach, citrus, white and yellow flowers such as yellow roses and acacia, accompanied by hints of hay.
Palate: Full and dry, with good acidity. Balanced and harmonious on the palate, savory and persistent, with a gustatory freshness and a spicy trace.
Alcohol content: 13%.
Serving temperature: 8-10°C.
Pairings: Pairs with creamy white polenta with salt cod, white pizzas, summer salads with goat cheese, citrus risotto, and seafood.
Terroir: Vineyards located in the Maggia Delta, on sandy-slightly clayey soils derived from granite rocks and gneiss. The vines, between 8 and 35 years old, are cultivated using the simple Guyot system, with a planting density of 4,600 vines per hectare.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand, with the must separated from the skins by soft pressing and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The different varieties are vinified separately and subsequently blended.
Description: La Lepre is a modern reinterpretation of a Canton Ticino classic. This white wine offers a unique balance of freshness, aromatic complexity, and structure. Ideal for aperitifs and light dinners, it is an expression of Ticinese passion and winemaking experience.
