Origin: Gudo, Canton Ticino, Switzerland
Grape varieties: A blend of about twenty historical indigenous varieties from the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, predating the introduction of Merlot in 1906.
Color: Light ruby red with violet highlights.
Nose: Fruity bouquet with notes of fresh red berries, cherry, and raspberry, accompanied by floral nuances and a slight spicy hint.
Palate: On the palate, it is light and fresh, with soft tannins and a pleasant acidity. The taste is dominated by ripe red fruits, with a delicate and harmonious finish.
Alcohol content: 11.5% vol.
Serving temperature: 12-14°C
Pairings: Ideal with traditional Ticinese cuisine, such as polenta and local cheeses, cured meats, white meats, and mushroom-based dishes. Also excellent with light appetizers and vegetable-based first courses.
Terroir: The vineyards are located on the hills of the right bank of the Ticino river, benefiting from a favorable microclimate and rich soils that impart freshness and minerality to the wine.
