Bouquet: Complex and deep, with hints of caramel, honey, dried fruit, figs, candied orange peel, toasted nuts, and light floral and spicy nuances
Taste: Sweet, smooth, and velvety, perfectly balanced by the acidity typical of great Madeiras. On the palate, notes of citrus marmalade, honey, dried figs, caramel, and a subtle woody component emerge. Persistent, elegant, and highly harmonious.
Serving temperature: 12–15 °C
Pairings: Ideal with crème brûlée, tarte tatin, coffee-flavored desserts, or dark chocolate. Also perfect with blue cheeses and as a meditation wine.
Terroir: Terraced vineyards on volcanic soils of the island of Madeira, strongly influenced by the oceanic climate. The basaltic soils impart freshness and great longevity to the wine.
Vinification: Fermentation halted to preserve natural sweetness. Aged for 15 years in oak casks using the traditional "canteiro" method, which utilizes the island's natural heat for slow aging.
